    MEMO FROM GRANDSON CLIVE EDGSON -
    Im told he was a vulcaniser. Got burnt a bit when the germans bombed Abbeville. I was only three when he died so I dont remember much of him. Mum tells me he was always whistling. My dad was in hospital that year and mum was at home on her own when grandad died. She swears she could hear him whistling around the house after hed gone.
