Thank you for helping me find a little history on this 29 year old girl. Daisy died October 30th 1918. Her burial place is Goudreau Ontario. She died of the Spanish Flu. I have pictures of the tombstone if you are interested. Her tombstone reads: Sacred To the Memory of Daisy Beloved Daughter of Mr & Mrs Joseph Lapham of Sarnia, ONT. Who passed away October 30th 1918 Aged 29 years. Gone from us but not forgotten Never shall thy memory fade Loving thoughts shall ever linger Around the spot where thou art laid Terry Baker sent the inscription details in her email Thank you Terry for your contribution to the site

A SOLITARY WOODEN CROSS DISCOVERED BY TERRY AND LOUIS WHEN CLEARING THE CEMETERY. IT IS NOT KNOW WHO IT COMMEMORATES AS ANY INSCRIPTIONS HAVE WORN AWAY, PERHAPS A MINER WHO DIED IN THE LOCAL MINE. -- Thanks Terry for the photo

TERRY BAKER LAYING DAISIES AT THE GRAVE OF DAISY LAPHAM (1889 - 1918)  -  Daisy was the adopted daughter of Joseph Lapham he married Eliza Jane Seaward who was the widow of George Walter Payne (Daisy's father) and also his brother Arthur.

WHILST CLEARING THE OVERGROWN CEMETERY IN GOUDREAU, A GHOST TOWN IN ONTARIO, CANADA, TERRY DISCOVERED THE LONG FORGOTTEN GRAVE OF DAISY AND VERY KINDLY CLEANED AND TIDIED IT, THEN LAID DAISIES IN MEMORY OF DAISY. Daisy died of Spanish Flu during an epidemic when many people died in Goudreau - Thank you Terry for all your hard work on behalf of Daisy and the Seaward/Payne/Lapham/Bennett families
